The VX 5 device is well suited for drying, comes with a unique adaptronic power control that renders thinking in equipment classes virtually redundant. It has a three-step variable turbo engine that can reach up to 20,000 rpm and guarantees maximum efficiency at any power level. The current volumetric flow is recorded continually in m³ and regulates the optimum airflow rate automatically due to integrated HiDry automatism. The device can be switch either into a higher performance class or whisper mode with a touch of a button. 

The turbo engine output and power consumption are always linear and directly interrelated. The power consumption is equally reduced when the counter-pressure decreases or when the power stage is cut back. Thus the performance control is not affected but still geared to the required volumetric flow. With this kind of technique, the VX 5 works more or less the energy-saving eco tariff, especially during the final drying phase. 

The VX 5 has 3 power stages:
For the Power stage 1 corresponds to the output of a 0.8 kW side channel compressor, while Power stage 2 is more powerful than a side channel compressor approximately 10% with 1.1 to 1.3 kW. And Power stage 3 corresponds to 140% of the output of a 1.1 kW to 1.3 kW side channel compressor and 80% performance of a 3kW side channel compressor. 

The device is equipped with HiDry automatic control system that adjust the performance not by resistance, but on volumetric flow which ensures the most efficient performance of drying in each stage. The volumetric flow rate of the VX 5 is dynamically and continuously adjust to the preset optimum value of the respective power stage. Therefore, the HiDry Automatism over the entire drying period ensures that the motor does not generate more power than needed to maintain the optimum volumetric flow in result to be the fastest possible drying at a minimum energy input.

The VX 5 brings light to a new level, it has an Optiflow NT multi-function display that reads the current operating status and volumetric flow and displayed as plain text. From a distance or in the dark the illumination display color indicates how effectively the drying air can flow through the insulation layer of your installation. The green light display confirms the optimum volumetric flow, the orange light display indicates the thresholds, and the red light display indicates the airflow rate in insufficient for the area, so that installation for quick drying is optimize.

Also, the VX 5 has a non-wearing touch screen control panel made with a robust ABS housing on the outside, and a state-of-the-art electronics on the inside that makes it a convenient handling by touch. A soft touch on the corresponding function symbol is all it takes to configure your VX 5. The plus and minus keys for selection of the power stage is added and a neatly arrange control panel that functions for the combined digital display of power consumption and operating hours as well as an extra whisper mode. With the latest generation of our drying control unit, the VX 5 comes with an interface for data exchange. The combination of both units enables the cross-linkage of all device including real-time remote monitoring of system status and drying progress. 

Even in threshold ranges, the insulation dryer never overheats because of sturdy motor control electronics installed. The VX 5 is also equipped with air inlet openings in the lower housing cover for cooling purposes. Filtering of the sucked-in cooling air is affected by two fine particulate air filters of class F8 according to DIN EN 779. In whisper mode the VX 5 is very silent, yet efficient. It has a sound level reduction which is not affected when reducing the power. Instead, regulating it with noise-optimized emphasis to the optimum volumetric flow of power stage 1. The VX 5 operates whisper mode for ten hours and automatically switch back to the previously used power stage when activated.
