Data Center Monitoring Project done in Kuwait

Data Center monitoring involves monitoring various parameters of a data center. We have installed a complete solution to monitor all possible parameters of a data center and in case any of the parameters exceed the defined limits, a phone call will be made to 4 technicians and a voice mail will be delivered indicating the nature of the fault. Also SMS and emails will be sent simultaneously. The various parameters monitored are:

1. Temperature
2. Humidity
3. Air Flow
4. Water Leaks
5. Status of all doors of racks
6. Main Door Status
7. Power Failure
8. Excess Ampere
9. Voltage monitoring
10. Battery Condition

All the above parameters will be continuously monitored and recorded in a central computer. A qualified technician was stationed round the clock in the data center. However after installing our integrated data center monitoring solution, the technician is not required and the system is working as expected for past 3 months.

Main functions:

The instruments used in teh data center monitoring can measure and record temperature from -200°C to 1250°C

1. The instrument continuously monitors and records the temperature inside the storage area
2. The data is recorded in the instrument as well as on a computer. Also the data can be monitored through the internet.
3. In case of the temperature goes above or below the limit value, the instrument will first sound an alarm and thereafter will dial upto 4 different phone numbers continuously until one of the phones is attendedThe device will monitor the temperature and humidity continuously and will be recorded:

• In the instrument itself and no need to connect to a PC (for a local operator)
• In a local PC (for the nearby operator)
• In a network PC (For a remotely sitting Supervisor)
• In Internet (For the supplier or Senior Management)
