Ozone’s structure makes it a strong oxidizing agent. In the gas phase, it can react with double bonds found in many biological and organic molecules. In water, it is even more reactive and breaks down to form species such as the superoxide ion (O2-), hydroperoxyl radical (HO2), and hydroxyl radical (OH) that attack many biological molecules.  These properties combine to make ozone a powerful way to cut organic pollutants and biological entities such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa.

Disinfection using dissolved ozone such as chlorine methods can lead to the production of harmful trihalomethanes in water, and that ozone can eliminate some organic pollutants and protozoa that are immune to chlorine treatment.  Techniques are ever-evolving and a combination of ozone and chlorine treatment is used in some water treatment facilities.  Beyond drinking water treatment, the uses of aqueous ozone in disinfection are numerous and in some cases surprising.  Examples include wastewater treatment, swimming pool disinfection, industrial laundry operations, food industry processing, and even clinical medical applications such as surgeries and dental procedures in which dosages of ozone are administered to patients as treatments.

Whole rooms and all materials within the rooms (curtains, carpets, bedding, tops and undersides of furniture, corners of rooms, floors, walls, etc.) can be disinfected much more thoroughly than with labour-intensive surface “wipe-downs.”   In the hospital setting, operating rooms and other critical care areas can be disinfected, and individual patient rooms can be made safe for the next patient. The disinfection treatment leaves no odour, unlike other methods that can leave a chemical smell.

  5. It has a 160m3/h (ideal) fan capacity with dimensions being W250xL300xH180mm.
  6. VAC-5000T is designed to fill all types of buildings and technical solutions.
  7. The generator comes with a 5m power cable without a plug. An authorized person should connect the power cable to a two-pole safety switch.
  8. Please ensure that the generator is not subjected to any mechanical stress. The incoming air to the generator should be clean (at least EU3-class filter) and may not exceed 40°C.

The generator has no air filter and must be provided with clean (filtered) air. If the air is not clean, there is a risk of disruption in the ozone cell. The manufacturer recommends that the ozone cell is checked for optimal operation. The first inspection should take place after a month’s operation. The service intervals can be extended if the ozone cell does not become dirty. To check the ozone cell the front panel must be removed. The cell is then removed by two screws. Carefully loosen the cell and control the glass tubes. If the tubes are dirty they should be cleaned with a soft towel in combination with water. Do never use any sharp tools to clean the glass tubes since they might break. Be sure that the cell is placed back in the same way again.

Odour control for Sanitation (VAC5000T) is warranted to be free from defects and workmanship for 3 years. If the product registration form is submitted within ten (10) days from the completion of the installation, the guarantee will begin or start on this date.

A spare part is warranted to be free from defects and/or workmanship for ninety (90) days from the date of the original installation. The warranty for new equipment covers the repair or replacement of the defective part and includes labour charges according to the recommended hours and maximum kilometre charges of 300 km round trip. The warranty for spare parts covers only the repair or replacement of the defective part and does not include any labour charges for the removal and installation of any parts, travel, or other expenses incidental to the repair or replacement of a part. The above-limited warranty does not apply to damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, or if the serial number is removed or defaced.
