Selection guide Home and Office dehumidifiers
Home and office dehumidifiers are on the principle of condensation of air. The dehumidifiers takes air through intake vent of the machine and is condensed. The moisture content of the air is converted into water in the process. The outlet air is dry air without moisture content. The water is collected in an inbuilt tray. The tray need to be rained of water once full. When the tray is full of water, the dehumidifier stops automatically and an indicator will show that the tray is full. Alternatively there is a water outlet in the machine which can be simply connected to a drain pipe. In this case, there is no need to watch the water level of the tray.
There is a hygrostat in the machine in which you can adjust the desired humidity level. The dehumidifier will continuously work to achieve the set levels and once this value is achieved, the machine stops. Again when the room humidity increases, the dehumidifier starts once again. This is exactly the same principle of a thermostat which controls a air conditioner. The thermostat is for adjusting temperature and a hygrostat is for adjusting humidity.
The comfort series condensation dehumidifiers manufactured by Trotec, Germany are fro home and office uses.
