We are explaining about single use USB data logger in this article.
Now we are inserting the USB pdf data logger into the USB port of the computer. The device is recognized and all the LED’s will blink indicating that the device is recognized.
The U S B data logger now automatically appears in the left window of the software. The middle portion of the window is for programming the data logger and viewing various parameters after recording. The right side of the window is for help during programming.
We will first change the description of the device. You can name it as your company name or consignment name etc.
Now we will enable the 4 alert levels and set corresponding levels of temperature.
There are 5 L E D indicators on the device which will indicate whether the temperature has exceeded the limits during the entire recording period. There are two red LED’s to indicate high and High High levels, two Blue LED’s to indicate Low and LowLow levels and Green LED to indicate the temperature was within limits during the recording period.
Also you can define the delay after which the LED’s are activated indicating the alerts.
Now we will change the sampling frequency which is the recording interval. Now I am setting the interval as 15 minutes. Now it will show the number of days at the bottom right. You can disable the stop button also if you do not want anyone to stop recording. If you just want to decide based on the number of days required by you, you can change the same over here and you can see that the sampling interval is automatically changed.
I am changing it back to 15 minutes.
For starting the recording either you can set to start at a predefined time or can define to start after a delay from pressing the start button. Right now there is a delay of 30 seconds which I am changing to zero.
The programming is now over.
Now just press the program button at the top and you can see the progress at the bottom left corner.
This software is required only for programming the data logger. For taking a report at the end of recording no special software is required. By simply inserting into a PC, it will generate a pdf, excel and text report with graphs.
