Temperature Monitoring of vehicles for HACCP certification

As part of implementation of HACCP standards, all vehicles which transport food items through various stages of its processing need to be monitored. This is  to ensure that during the entire chain of food processing, the food need to be preserved at the recommended temperature. Temperature monitoring of these vehicles can be carried out by devices fitted in the vehicles and the data can be transmitted either through GPRS or through SMS. Through GPRS method, the data will be transmitted through a SIM card fitted in the vehicle, with a subscription to a data package with the telecom service provider. In the SMS transmission method, the SIM card fitted in the vehicle will transmit the data in the form of an SMS at a defined interval to the central station. In both the cases  the data will be collected by a software at the central station and will be converted into a chart. The software also is capable of sending alerts in the form of SMS, email  or voice call indicating the vehicle number which generated alert. The system can provide various information viz. Location tracking, temperature, Engine condition, Battery condition etc.
