Temperature Monitoring and Recording of Ship hull / Cargo Haul
Temperature monitoring and recording of ship hull and cargo area are difficult due to inaccessibility. The main difficulty is that the haul is inaccessible. Normal thermo-couples can transmit data only upto 1-3 meters. Hence normal thermo-couple cannot be used for this purpose. This requires special sensors. The sensor is placed at remote distance and no maintenance is possible. The measuring point will be at a distance of 20-30 meters from the cabin or other accessible rooms.
Temperature data logger with alert for ships
Our custom made Temperature monitoring solution is suitable for such applications and is easy to install. The device can take 4 inputs from different parts of the ship. Each sensors can be placed at a distance of 30 meters from the monitor. The sensor is powered through a battery and will transmit the data over long distance. The sensor is small in size and can be placed in a remote area.
Temperature monitoring is important for many such applications and this solution is useful for all such areas having limited accessibility. Temperature from -60 Deg C to 1000 Deg C can be monitored and recorded.he monitoring device. The system comes with a Temperature monitoring software, but is not required for regular operation. The device is self contained and having own battery backup to work in case of power failure. The device will store data for upto two months. In case you need to download the data, the same can be done by connecting a cable to a computer and can be simply downloaded. Also the device can be connected to auxiliary devices for make local alarms if temperature goes below or above defined limits for defined time limits.
Salient Features of temperature data logger for ship:
- 4 Sensors (Temperature or Temperature & Humidity)
- The whole system works independently without any computer connection. A laptop can be connected through USB cable for downloading the data as and when required.
- Each sensors can be programmed separately for high and low level of alerts
- Data Storage upto 1.5 years
- Free Software for data download (Excel or Chart)
- Voice call, SMS & Email alert through an external dialer (optional)
- Audible alarm / Strobe / Beacon light can be connected as external device (optional)
- Simple plug and play device. Can be installed and commissioned without our technical supervision.
- Temperature monitoring from -100°C to 1250°C
- No annual charges
Fixing of Temperature recording &monitoring system in ship
The monitoring device (Electronic data logger) has to be fitted in any cabin in the ship where other monitoring equipment are mounted.
The data logger is supplied in fully programmed condition and hence no additional programming is required.
The device works on 12 Volt DC power supply. A power adapter is supplied alongwith the data logger. The device has to be powered using this adapter.
There are 4 electronic sensors for this device. 4 sensors can go to 4 different directions in the ship. The sensors can be wired similar to any other normal wiring.
Simply connect the sensors to the temperature data logger and switch ON the data logger. It starts working.
If you have opted for a siren, strobe or beacon light as an alarm system, connect the same to the assigned terminals
Technical Details of Temperature Data Logger for Ship
The data logger stores over 80,000 temperatures for each sensors, which means that it will store over 1.5 year of temperature history if you are sampling temperature once every 10 minutes. If you are logging temperature and humidity it will store nine months of history for each of the four sensors. Although the data logger can store and display temperature from absolute zero to thousands of degrees, the actual temperatures collected depends on the type of sensors being used.
